Hyvä Joulumieli, Good Holidays Spirit is a fundraising campaign, that gives out food vouchers to families with children which are in need. With the vouchers families can buy food for Christmas. The campaign is run by the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the Finnish Red Cross together with the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle.

The fundraising will start on Thursday the 19th of November 2020 and continue until Christmas Eve. The goal for this year’s fundraising is 1 050 000 euro, which will allow the organizers to give out 21 000 vouchers for 50 euro each.

The gift vouchers will be given to families with children, which are in need due to for instance unemployment, illness, debt, low income or some other kind of crisis. You can’t apply for a gift voucher. The local associations of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the Finnish Red Cross work together with the local child health clinics, social services and the church to find families that need help.

The gift voucher is good only for food supplies and it is valid in all S Group, K Group and Lidl-stores.
